The craftsmanshipThe Art Glass DifferenceWhy hand-cast art glass beats molded glass & resin, the many shapes our artisans create, and how to spot the real thing. โ–ฆ Material comparison โœฆ One craft, many shapes ๐Ÿ” Spot genuine glass Open
01 ยท Material Comparison

Hand-cast art glass vs. molded glass vs. resin

Three materials look similar in a thumbnail โ€” but live very differently on your wall. Here's how our hand-cast art glass compares.

Our Hand-Cast Art Glass Molded / Pressed Glass Resin / Acrylic Imitation
How it's made Hand-cast & shaped by artisans, one piece at a time Machine-pressed in a fixed mold, mass-produced Liquid resin poured into a mold, mass-produced
Texture & pattern Unique crackle texture โ€” no two tubes alike Identical, repeating pattern on every unit Flat, "printed-on" look; texture feels superficial
Light quality Deep, layered glow; light refracts through real glass Even but flat; little depth or movement Dull, slightly cloudy; can look plasticky when lit
Feel & weight Substantial, cool, solid in the hand Solid but uniform Noticeably light, warm, hollow-feeling
Color over time Color is in the glass โ€” won't fade or yellow Stable color Can yellow or cloud with heat & UV over time
Heat tolerance High โ€” glass handles bulb heat well High Lower โ€” can warp or discolor near heat
Character A one-of-a-kind work of glass art A functional, uniform fixture A budget look-alike

The takeaway: hand-cast art glass costs more to make, but it's the only one that gives you genuine depth of light, individual character, and lasting color โ€” the qualities that make a fixture feel like art rather than hardware.

02 ยท Forms & Shapes

One craft, many shapes

Every piece begins the same way โ€” molten glass, hand-cast and shaped by our artisans. From that single craft comes a whole family of forms, each catching and releasing light in its own way.

How to spot genuine art glass

Online photos can make resin and glass look alike. Here's how to tell the difference once it's in your home โ€” every point below describes our fixtures.

1
Pick it up

Real glass is cool and substantial. Resin feels warm, light, and hollow. Our tubes have real weight โ€” many customers say the heavy box was their first clue it's genuine.

2
Look at the texture

Hand-cast crackle texture has true depth you can feel with a fingertip. Resin texture looks like it's printed on a flat surface.

3
Turn on the light

Glass refracts light into a layered, moving glow. Resin tends to look flat, dull, or slightly cloudy when lit.

4
Compare two pieces

No two hand-cast tubes are exactly identical. If every piece looks machine-perfect and matched, it's molded โ€” not artisan glass.

Our promise: every fixture is genuine hand-cast art glass. Slight variation between pieces isn't a flaw โ€” it's proof it was made by hand.

A bloom caught mid-opening, and held there.

The Rosalind Pink Glass Petal Chandelier layers dozens of blush glass petals into a soft, tiered bloom. Each petal is milky white at its heart and deepens to a warm rose along the edges, overlapping row upon row into a full conical silhouette. Switched off, it reads as a pale pink sculpture suspended from the ceiling; switched on, the whole bloom warms to a soft coral glow.

Because the petals overlap at graduated depths, light doesn't fall in a single beam โ€” it filters, layers, and softens, filling the room with a flattering rose-tinted warmth rather than a hard downbeam. A slim white rod and canopy all but disappear against the ceiling, so nothing competes with the glass. It's made for the rooms that deserve a moment of romance: a dining table, a principal bedroom, a dressing room, or an entry where guests look up before they look anywhere else.

  • 1
Mouth-Blown Blush PetalsEvery petal is blown by hand, the blush tone drawn into the glass while still molten โ€” so the colour lives inside the piece, and no two petals are ever alike.
  • 2
A Tiered, Blooming SilhouetteDozens of curved petals overlap in graduated rows, building a three-dimensional bloom with real depth and presence โ€” sculpture as much as light.
  • 3
Light That Filters, Not GlaresLight passes through layer after layer of blush glass, filling the room with a soft rose-tinted warmth instead of a hard downbeam.
  • 4
A Colour That Flatters EverythingBlush light is famously kind โ€” skin, wood, linen, and faces all read warmer beneath it.

Dimensions & Placement

โˆ… 32.1โ€ณ ร— H 24โ€ณ Dia 81.5 ร— H 61 cm ยท adjustable rod
  • Over a Dining TableBest above a table 48โ€“60โ€ณ (120โ€“150 cm) wide or larger. Hang the lowest petal about 30โ€“36โ€ณ (75โ€“90 cm) above the tabletop so it lights the table without blocking sightlines.
  • Bedroom & Dressing RoomCentre it over the room rather than the bed, with at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance underneath. The rose-tinted glow is especially flattering in a dressing area or beside a mirror.
  • Entryway & FoyerSuits entries with ceilings of 10 ft (3 m) or more. Keep 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance in any walkway, and centre it over the space rather than the door.
  • Living & Open-Plan RoomsIdeal for rooms of roughly 150 sq ft (14 mยฒ) or larger with 9 ft (2.7 m)+ ceilings. Centre it over a seating area or coffee table to anchor the room.
Hanging Height Tip

A simple guide: allow about 2.5โ€“3โ€ณ of drop for every foot of ceiling height. In a standard 9 ft room, that means the bottom of the fixture sits roughly 7โ€“7.5 ft from the floor. Over a dining table you can hang it lower โ€” 30โ€“36โ€ณ above the tabletop โ€” because no one walks beneath it. The rod is adjustable, so the final height is set during installation.

What Makes It Special

01

Hand-Blown Glass: No Two Petals Alike

Every petal is individually mouth-blown by skilled artisans โ€” never pressed from a cold industrial mold. The milky centre, the blush edge, and the faint ripples across the surface are the marks of the furnace's heat and the craftsman's own breath, which is why no two petals, and no two chandeliers, are ever quite the same.

02

Rose Light, Layer by Layer

Ordinary glass simply lets light pass through. Here, light travels through layer after overlapping layer of blush glass โ€” softening and warming as it goes. As dusk falls, the whole bloom glows from within, casting a gentle rose-tinted light across your walls and ceiling that flatters everything beneath it.

03

Hardware That Disappears

A slim white rod and canopy recede against the ceiling, so nothing competes with the glass. Unlit, the layered petals read as a pale pink sculpture in daylight; lit, the fixture becomes the undisputed centrepiece of the room.

The Design

The Kindest Light in the House

Blush glass, and everything beneath it looks a little softer.

Photographers have known it for a century: certain light is simply kinder than other light. Warm it, soften it, tint it the faintest rose โ€” and skin looks better, wood looks richer, and a room you've lived in for years suddenly feels like somewhere you'd want to be photographed. That's the light this chandelier was built to make.

Each petal begins as a gather of molten glass on the end of a blowpipe, turned and shaped by a craftsman's breath rather than a machine. The blush isn't sprayed on or coated over โ€” it's drawn into the glass while the piece is still glowing, milky white at the heart and deepening to rose along the edge. It's slow, hot work, and it's the reason no two petals are ever quite the same โ€” and why the chandelier that arrives at your door exists nowhere else.

Layered together in overlapping tiers, those petals stop being glass and start being a flower: a bloom caught mid-opening, held under your ceiling. Unlit, it reads as pale pink sculpture in the daylight. Lit, the whole thing warms to soft coral and casts a rose-tinted glow across the room โ€” the kind of light that makes an ordinary Tuesday evening feel like an occasion.

Dinners Worth Dressing For

Rose light over the table softens every face around it โ€” the kind of glow that turns a weeknight dinner into something people linger over.

Getting Ready

In a dressing room or beside a mirror, blush light is famously flattering โ€” you'll notice the difference the first morning you use it.

The Room You Show People

Above an entry or a bedroom, it's the thing guests look up at โ€” quietly announcing that someone here thought about how the house should feel.

Shaped by breath and fire โ€” and softened by everyone who stands beneath it.

Questions, Answered

Before You Order

Everything you might want to know about the glass, the light, and getting it on your ceiling.

01Is the glass really hand-blown?
Yes. Every petal is mouth-blown by hand โ€” never machine-pressed or moulded from acrylic. The blush tone is drawn into the glass while it is still molten, milky white at the heart and deepening to rose along the edge. That subtle difference from petal to petal is the mark of real artisan glass, not a defect.
02Will my chandelier look exactly like the photos?
Very close โ€” but not identical, and that's the point. Because every petal is blown individually, the depth of blush and the ripple pattern vary slightly from one to the next. Your piece will be one of a kind. The overall silhouette, size, and colour family will match what you see here.
03How pink is it, really?
Softer than you might expect. Each petal is milky white through the centre and deepens to blush only along the edges, so unlit it reads as a pale, chalky pink rather than a bold one. Switched on, the whole piece warms to a gentle coral โ€” flattering rather than loud, and it sits comfortably alongside neutrals, warm woods, and cream.
04How bright is it? Will it glare?
It gives a warm, diffused glow rather than a hard downbeam. Light passes through layer after overlapping layer of blush glass, softening as it goes โ€” so there's no harsh hotspot and no bare bulb in view. It's ambient, atmospheric light: beautiful over a dining table or in a bedroom, though you may want additional task lighting in a kitchen or workspace.
05What bulbs does it use, and can it be dimmed?
It takes standard bulbs โ€” LED or Edison style โ€” and we recommend warm white to bring out the blush tone. Dimming depends on the bulb: fit compatible dimmable bulbs on a dimmer switch and the chandelier will dim. Bulbs supplied as standard are not dimmable,
06What size room does it suit?
At โˆ… 32.1โ€ณ (81.5 cm) ร— H 24โ€ณ (61 cm), this is a generous statement piece. It suits dining tables 48โ€“60โ€ณ (120โ€“150 cm) or wider, rooms of roughly 150 sq ft (14 mยฒ) or more, and spaces with 9 ft (2.7 m) ceilings or higher. In a smaller room it will feel crowded โ€” contact us and we can advise on a custom size.
07How high should I hang it?
Over a dining table, hang the lowest petal 30โ€“36โ€ณ (75โ€“90 cm) above the tabletop. In a walkway or entry, keep at least 7 ft (2.1 m) of clearance from the floor. A useful rule for open rooms: allow about 2.5โ€“3โ€ณ of drop per foot of ceiling height. The rod is adjustable, so the final height is set during installation.
08Is it difficult to install?
It's a hardwired ceiling fixture, and we recommend professional installation. The frame mounts first, then each glass petal is hung individually โ€” it takes patience, but the instructions are clear and all hardware is included. Because of the size and weight, two people make the job much easier. Always switch off power at the breaker first.
09Can I customise the size, colour, or drop length?
Yes. We offer full customisation of dimensions, surface finish, glass colour, light count, and rod or chain length. Tell us your ceiling height and the space you're lighting, and our designers will advise on proportion โ€” then we build it to spec.
10Will the glass arrive safely?
Yes. Every petal is individually wrapped and packed in thick protective foam inside a reinforced box, with the frame and hardware boxed separately. We ship glass every day and pack it to survive the journey. In the rare case something arrives damaged, contact us within 24 hours with photos and we'll make it right.
11How do I clean it?
Wipe each petal gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents, and abrasive pads. Always switch the fixture off and let the bulbs cool completely before cleaning. Dusting once or twice a year keeps the glass clear and the light at its best.
